ARA UK News

The ARA UK is a charity created by Professor Tony Chu, to educate aesthetic practitioners and dermatologists about acne and rosacea in terms of the development, complications and how to effectively treat the many different cases. Professor Tony Chu teaches cutting-edge techniques for treating acne and rosacea. By utilising these techniques, you’re more able to accurately assess and treat each patient.

By enrolling in the ARA UK, and becoming accredited, your business will also be listed as an “Accredited Treatment Centre” on the ARA UK website, providing a steady stream of customers when they look for their nearest accredited clinic. You will also receive an accreditation pack. This involves a sticker for your window to show you are an accredited treatment centre, a certificate, social media material, website badge etc. Accredited Centres also get fast diagnosis support from Professor Tony Chu.

What does the course cover? Everything on Acne and Rosacea

  • Different types
  • Psychological impacts
  • Symptoms
  • Different treatments – their results, the risks, the positives and negatives
  • Advice for the sufferers
  • Acne Scarring, the different types and the treatments for this
  • Professor Tony Chu also uses examples and stories of all his experiences from decades of work in dermatology

We have ‘as live’ webinars where we can schedule them for whenever you can do them. There are 3 webinars which are an hour long each, 2 on acne and acne scarring and 1 on rosacea. After completing the webinars you then complete 2 exams 1 on rosacea and 1 on acne, these are multiple-choice. These are then marked by Prof. Chu and then sent back to you, if you pass you then become an accredited treatment centre. This course is also CPD accredited (60 points).

The course cost is £300 for the three webinars and the money is payable to the charity account by bank transfer. Once this I said we can get you set up on the webinars and send your training booklets out to you.

If you would like to proceed with the accreditation, all you need to do is transfer payment to the charity. The details follow:

Charity Name – Acne and Rosacea Association UK
Account Number – 81686623
Sort Code – 40-02-05

NB – Please put your clinic name as the reference when making the payment and screenshot the PDF of the online bank transfer when completed and email it to support@arauk.co.uk so that we can mark every clinic down that has paid.

Our sponsor SkinMed has helped us in many ways to get up and running and have an offer to help clinics finance the accreditation. If you sign up to their training course as well as the ARA UK training, then you only pay for the one course. They subsidise your ARA UK Accreditation.*
